00:11 <****> soreau:
00:11 <****> ?
00:11 <****> after reboot the problem not resolved
00:12 <****> compiz (core) - Fatal: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing
00:12 <****> You 'reinstalled' your driver pretty quick..
00:12 <****> No GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap with direct rendering context
00:12 <****> i have reinstalled my driver!
00:13 <****> removed and installed
00:13 <****> ech0s7: The last thing I will recomend to try is installing xgl.
00:13 <****> soreau: with xgl compiz work
00:14 <****> However you would have to edit your xorg.conf file to disable the Composite extension and probably not a bad idea to disable aiglx while you're there..
00:14 <****> !xgl|ech0s7
00:14 <****> ech0s7: Xgl is an X server architecture, started by David Reveman, layered on top of OpenGL via glitz. It takes advantage of modern graphics cards via their OpenGL drivers, supporting hardware acceleration of all X, OpenGL and XVideo applications and graphical effects by a compositing window manager such as Beryl.
00:14 <****> soreau: yes, i have already tried with xgl, compiz work
00:14 <****> but the problem is with AIGLX
00:15 <****> does or does not work?
00:15 <****> does
00:15 <****> Well then what's the deal?
00:15 <****> does work
00:16 <****> You had xgl installed on this same distro install?
00:16 <****> no
00:17 <****> now i haven't xgl installed
00:17 <****> hey guys
00:17 <****> Well, if you want compiz to work, you might consider using xgl
00:17 <****> w8 nothing maybe :P
00:18 <****> xgl works great here w/nvidia on gutsy
00:18 <****> super fast
00:19 <****> but with aiglx is better of xgl
00:19 <****> lol, so he came into the channel to say 'oh wait everything's ok', LOL
00:19 <****> becouse i not have to startxg
00:20 <****> hey,any idea why dn't is ee what changes in a windos? like what am i typing?
00:20 <****> kachna|lappy: What distro and driver?
00:20 <****> suse, intel
00:20 <****> hey,now i se that
00:20 <****> pretty strange
00:21 <****> *see
00:21 <****> more and more people are reporting that here, what's up with that?
00:23 <****> !intel
00:23 <****> Compiz requires at least an i830 (82830), and will perform well on any i9xx chip. In older intel chips it is sometimes required to increase the amount of shared videoram to enable direct rendering; in such a case, your /var/log/Xorg.0.log will indicate that problem.
00:23 <****> i965 here,brand new lappy :)
00:23 <****> kachna|lappy: Any specific application?
00:24 <****> That you're having problems with?
00:24 <****> konversation, but it was just a while after start,no problem now..will see when using it for a while
00:25 <****> kachna|lappy: Also check your system monitor to make sure another app isn't hogging all your resources
00:25 <****> mmm...is there a way to have superkaramba and knotes stuff on all viewports?
00:25 <****> holy crap just spotted it
00:25 <****> compiz: 81% cpu
00:25 <****> i have enabled only defaults :O
00:26 <****> nevermind,karamba lies,top seems to be ok
00:26 <****> but temperature is hgher than usually :/ guess i'll turn t
00:26 <****> it off on battery :/
00:28 <****> mm,here we go, trying to login on sftp in krusader, no reactions there again
00:33 <****> hi
00:34 <****> how can i change the sytle of the gtk windows decorator?
00:34 <****> soreau: more and more, almost all apps do this stuff :(
00:35 <****> that run command, (alt F2), kdesu, kopete...and such, doesn't seem to be app related
00:35 <****> SaLoMoN: system/prefs/themes
00:36 <****> brb
00:37 <****> omg,not even kde menu :/
00:37 <****>Appearance
00:38 <****> ooh, correct soreau , thanks
00:40 <****> dammit :/
00:40 <****> soreau: how can I change the background of the CUbe?
00:41 <****> yes
00:41 <****> How? sec
00:42 <****>Skydome
00:42 <****> thanx =)
00:42 <****> enable skydome, animate, and select your pics
00:45 <****> omg,had compiz up and running, restarted X coz of change in ouse section in conf, now when i start compiz,my decorations just disappear and compiz doesn't start...not using xgl,so what the heck?
00:45 <****> oh i see...
00:45 <****> compiz (core) - Fatal: No GLXFBConfig for default depth, this isn't going to work. << this appeared in the console, any idea?
00:50 <****> no ideas? :/
00:51 <****> kachna|lappy: your DRI is broken
00:52 <****> god dammit
00:52 <****> glxinfo says it's ok O:o
00:52 <****> kachna|lappy: check your /var/log/Xorg.0.log for dri messages
00:53 <****> yeah, you have GLX, just not DRI
00:53 <****> if i patch mplayer as advised to enable xv, do i get better performance than -vo x11 even if i have indirect rendering on?
00:53 <****> should, yeah
00:55 <****> DocWilco: absolutely no clue about it in log file
00:55 <****> this thing wrked just before X restart :/
00:56 <****> brb
01:05 <****> screw that, will pplay with it later when the suse guys come :) gn
01:21 <****> how do i know what names to add in the entry box for the widget layer to get the right windows treated as widgets?
01:22 <****> Good eve Fyda
01:22 <****> G'day, soreau.
01:24 <****> Argh.
01:24 <****> http://members.shaw.ca/solinde/20071224_gparted_darkthemeissue.png
01:25 <****> holy invisible font batman
01:25 <****> Yeah, and I don't think it's the theme's fault.
01:25 <****> This isn't the first instance of an unreadable font colour, and it certainly won't be the last.
01:26 <****> LOL@Curs0r
01:26 <****> ah, no it's not the theme, it's an inherent lack of proper separation of certain color bindings in gtkrc
01:26 <****> Mm, I've had this in Banshee, too.
01:27 <****> I thought it was an issue with the colours being hardcoded in the app.
01:27 <****> I have read it from the gtk code where the issue lies. I'm thinking a proper gtk theme engine can bypass the gtkrc propblem
01:28 <****> At the very least, I would like it if there were a theme engine that detected whether to use black or white text on a particular background.
01:28 <****> yes
01:28 <****> The AIM client in Windows had this, for example.
